My Production Process
I work with either stoneware clays or porcelain, and fire pots in electric or wood-fired kilns. I mix most of my own glazes but use some commercial glazes on occasion. On pieces that will be wood-fired, I use little or no glaze on the exterior of the pot and let the kiln atmosphere do the decorating. I find that this approach gives me the more interesting and natural finish I'm striving for.
